My new book!

Sailor loves to chew on everything including all of her books. We usually get about halfway through a good story and the book goes straight to the mouth. Aunt Heather decided to put her newly learned sewing skills to work. She created Sailor a brand new Mother Goose Story book made completely from fabric. Sailor loves it, she can chew on it all she wants and then I can put it the washer to clean it up. It says volume 1 on the cover...can't wait for next volume. Thanks Aunt Heather.

A job well done!

Sailor and Pop!
This past weekend Pop rebuilt their deck to get ready for summer. Here is Pop and Sailor standing on the finished product. I thought I got more of the deck in the picture but obviously not. The new white railing adds a great touch and will look great after the new white fence is installed this coming weekend! Sailor can't wait for it to get a little warmer to swim in the new pool. We put our feet in today...just a little cold! Great job Pop.
O.K. Nana I promised not to blog this pic but it was too good to pass up. What a beautiful day!

I have a question?

I am very apprehensive about deleting pictures from my memory cards for my camera. I have them saved on my camera, computer and a flash drive and some of them uploaded to shutterfly. I know this is probably a little crazy and it DRIVES Joe crazy because every time I go to use my camera I have to scroll through and find a picture to delete so I can take one. Back to my question. My computer is starting to bog down because of all the memory the pictures are taking up. I was wondering how all of you save or backup your pictures. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Sailor is 8 months!

Watch out! Here I come.

I learned in school that 8 months is a critical age and stage that babies go through. Most of their reflexes that they are born with are integrated by now meaning their movements are much more coordinated and purposeful. All of this makes much more sense to me now that I am watching Sailor grow, learn and change. I think pediatrics would have made much more sense then and probably been a little easier had I had a child way back then. Anyway, Sailor is 8 months. It is officially time for a baby gate! We also apparently need sideboards for the bed, our bed that is. Joe laid Sailor down for literally seconds while going into the bathroom for a washcloth and BAM, she hit the floor. We have read all the stuff about not putting them on high objects at this age because they can move so quickly. Well, I think you live and learn. Once again she was fine after a few good tears. She finally got the hang of crawling really good the middle of last week. I think it was the 23rd, but I think it is safe to say when she turned 8 months. She is starting to pull up and getting into everything. She is able to go from sitting to crawling and back up again to sitting from laying down. She loves to ride-a-little-horsey and does it best for Nana. She is talking more and more each day, but I think she is definitely saying mama best and most, ha,ha! Her expressions are hilarious. She makes the funniest faces at Joe. I have a few on video and plan to post them soon. Still no teeth, we check everyday but nothing. I can't figure it out, she goes through stages where she drools so much and chews on everything but still no toofers.

Did I say into everything! Sailor loves just everything and anything that is not her's. Here she is wanting to chew on Peyton's Wii gun.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

We have had a busy day, week, oh I should just say month. I need to catch up on blogging but it seems like time is thin these days. I have to back up so I think I will start back toward the beginning of the month. April 8.
Peyton turned 13...This completely does not seem possible that I am an aunt to a teenager. I officially feel old. I can only imagine how Heather feels. Sorry Heather. Anyway. Colton had a baseball game on his actual birthday so afterwards everyone came over to our house for a little surprise party.

Sailor is looking a little frightened, I am not sure why?

We continued the celebration the next evening at Cracker Barrel, which is always good.
Last week Sailor made her first Out of State Trip! Mommy had to attend a class in Atlanta and Daddy was able to take a few days off work and so we all went down together. Sailor was such a trooper as always. I feel like I am always saying that but she truly is. She and daddy got to spend some quality bonding time together in the Hotel for 2 days. We did have a really good time.

If you can't read her shirt it says "My 1st Braves Tee"
Colton has been the Yankees in little league every year except this year and now he is the Braves. Sailor doesn't have to wear her Yankees jersey to the game anymore while cheering for the braves. She also got a Braves bat down in Atlanta to go with her pink glove and pink baseballs.

Sailor continues to love going out in the boat. Joe, Sailor and I went out Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. I did not take anymore pictures but she loves to ride. Daddy got his motor fixed so we could go a little faster than just trolling! I have to take a pic and post of her in her life jacket before and after from last summer. It is just amazing how much she has grown and changed.

Saturday was Mom's birthday and we all went out to celebrate again, this time at Wasabi. We had a great time.

Sorry for the long post, just had some catching up to do!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA!

Sailor has so many special people in her life, especially her Nana. Today is a very special day. It is Nana's Birthday. We truly would not know what to do without her. She and Sailor have already formed an amazing bond. I have always known what a great person she is but I don't think anything tells it like when I see her with her grand kids! She has unconditional love, that is for sure. We don't tell her often enough how much we appreciate her and love her so here is a little note with some pictures attached. WE LOVE YOU NANA, HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY.

Sailor's 1st fishing trip.

Sunday was such a beautiful day we decided to go fishing with daddy. Daddy's motor is in the shop so we knew he could not go too fast with just a trolling motor! Sailor had such a great time. She is just the best thing ever. I was unsure of how she would do being confined to such a small space but she was a trooper. We played, napped, and watched daddy catch a few big ones! Sailor was all decked out in her "Bass Pro Shops" "Reel Girls Fish" shirt. She even took along her own fishing rod. I have to say she caught one quicker than daddy did.

Yummy, I haven't tried fish yet!

Spashin in the Tub!

Sailor loves the water so far! I have to say this little ducky tub is great. Thanks Tara. It is so nice to get advice and gifts from experienced moms. We have so much fun at bath time. We have so much fun all the time! This tub is just the right size to contain my little wild child while she is splashing around.
