Fantasy of Trees!

After decorating our house on Friday Joe and I took Sailor to Fantasy of Trees! She loved seeing all the pretty trees and hearing the little kids sing. She was especially fascinated by the trees and giant ornaments hanging from the ceiling. We even saw Santa from a distance, very long line!

I decided the little elf volunteering to take family pictures by the pretty snow scene needed a lesson in photography. We needed a little less floor and little more snow scene. At least she was nice to offer and Joe was super excited to get in a picture!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I want to give thanks for such a wonderful day God gave us all to spend Thanksgiving. We had such a great time visiting, eating, of course, and playing outside on this beautiful day.

Congratulations POP!!!!

What an accomplishment! My dad began watching and supporting Peyton in martial arts several years ago. He began really expressing an interest in karate so about 4-5 years ago Heather and I purchased a years tuition to the Kingston Martial Arts school and gave it to dad for Christmas. He began taking Karate and really fell in love with it. He has done so well and been very dedicated. Last Saturday he completed and accomplished his goal of becoming a black belt. From my understanding it was well earned. His tested lasted 4 hours during which he completed 1000 sit ups, army crawls with 10 lb weights on ankles and wrists, demonstrated his memorized Forms, and sparred with several black belt instructors. Needless to say he has a few battle wounds to prove his victory. So POP!!! Sailor, Joe and I are very, very proud of you. We knew you could do it. Now just keep up the hard work and stay in shape!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

This is one of my all time favorite pictures of Joe and Sailor taken just minutes after she came into the world. It looks to me like they recognize each other and always have! While at Sailor's doctor visit just this morning the nurse said something that reminded me of this picture. Sailor was sitting in Joe's lap while the nurse checked her oxygen saturation level. The nurse commented on how good Sailor was being and said to her, "you must feel really safe sitting there in your daddy's lap". I thought to myself how lucky she is to have such a wonderful daddy.

Happy Birthday

We Love you,

Nikki and Sailor

Tagged by Tara...

Ok, so I was tagged by Tara and now I must tag four people to do the same. This one is for fun! Go to your fourth picture folder and then go to the fourth picture in the folder. Write four things about the picture and then tag four other people. It's amazing what you'll find!!!

I was hoping for a little bit more random picture but here goes anyway!
Four things about this picture!

1. Colton's 7th birthday at Wasabi!

2. Sailor was ~71/2 months old and learning to clap!

3. Colton, Peyton and Sailor already have this inseparable bond and when they are around she wants to do everything they are doing, it is very cute to watch.

4. I am so thankful for these 3 wonderful people in my life and am very happy they have each other. Sailor never has to worry that she does not have a big brother to look up to and to protect her because she has the closest thing to it in her big cousins!

Now I tag...

1. Heather Robinette
2. Suzanne Richards
3. Lindsey Isham
4. Amanda Owings

Love the Lake!

Like it says in my profile, most of our best memories have been made at one time or another on the lake! This past summer was the first year that I can remember where every weekend was not spent somewhere on the lake. Since my mom and dad put in a pool we went there more often to swim this year. I have to say it was a little different summer. Don't get me wrong the pool is wonderful and very convenient, safe and clean! I still love the lake and look forward to Sailor spending many great weekends somewhere on the lake learning to swim, ski, wakeboard, and tube. She may even ride the flying saucer, who knows! The flying saucer was a homemade round piece of wood you could do just about anything on, sit, stand, climb on each others shoulders, just what ever, while holding a ski rope and being pulled behind the boat! Anyway a few weekends ago we went down to Pop's camper and mom took these pictures while Sailor was down by the water looking for fish and ducks. It was a very pretty day so I thought I would share!

Halloween 2008

We had a big Halloween this year. We began the night at Nana's where Sailor got a dog dressed as a witch that sings "ghouls just want to have fun" and a doll dressed as a witch! After Nana's we headed to the church for "Trunk or Treat". Sailor had so much fun going from car to car getting lots of candy. She also got to see lots of her friends that helped her along the way! After Trunk or Treat we headed to Granny Wanda's where Sailor got a bag full of goodies such as an animal puzzle that by the way makes noises when you turn the lights on and off in the house, lots of gummies, animal crackers, gold fish, a Rockwood hat and best of all a gift certificate to Mickey D's to get a happy meal! We ended the night with a late night trick of treat to our friends Buddy and Lisa's new house who are just about to have their own little trick or treater due later this month. Needless to say Sailor was wiped out and asleep before we even got home! We had a great night. Oh yeah, my camera died at the church so we did not get any pictures past that stop! Happy Halloween!

On the porch ready for the night!

Annual Pumpkin Carving Night!

Last Wednesday was our annual pumpkin carving night! We all had a great time as usual. Sailor dug right in and helped to clean her pumpkin. I helped carve Sailor's "Oh No" face while Bruce helped Colton with an "RIP" tombstone. Peyton got a late start after attempting the Phoenix Suns logo for the second year. It was a little too challenging but he carved out a nice "P" in the end! I have to say if prizes were to be won, Heather would take the cake this year. She got in on the action and got her hands dirty with a creative, pretty, sunflower.
