Boo at the Zoo!!!

Saturday evening Heather, Peyton, Sailor and I went to Boo at the Zoo! We were able to Trick or Treat down the haunted trail, watch a little bit of a magic show, saw some belly dancing, spotted a few animals, ride on a camel and experience a Krispy Kreme Doughnut for the first time! I have to say it was a super fun night.
It's not everyday you get to ride on a camel, if gas doesn't continue to get better we may start looking into that!

Our caged kids!

Soooo good!

Now thats a big elephant!

Don't they both look thrilled for another picture!

Not to sure about the super heroes?

Or the giant pumkin!

Ready for some candy!!

Peyton is such a good driver!

Sailor loves animals!

Sailor has become such an animal lover. A couple of weeks ago she got to meet some of her Papaw's horses. It only took a few minutes for her to warm up to them.

Back to reality :(

Last week we all took off. Sailor and I headed to Florida with Nana, Pop and Pam while Joe fished all week in Alabama! Every year at some point we try to go to my grandparents home in Venice, Florida. This, unfortunately, could possibly have been Sailor's first and last trip there. Granny Fran and Granddaddy are planning to try to sell their place they have snowbirded for the past 15 winters:( We absolutely love the area and will probably continue to go there after they sell but will unfortunately have to pay for a place to stay. It is so unique because there are several beaches within minutes that are so fun and different that we have trouble deciding where to go next. Siesta Key, beautiful white cool sand and a view for miles. Casperson, undeveloped natural scenery and the sharks tooth capital! Nokomis, shelly sand, guaranteed dolphins and fishing jetty. Last, but not least, Boca Grande, an upscale island, tarpon fishing capital, iguanas, manatees, Banyan trees and frequented by posh celebrities. This year it just so happened that while we where on Gasparilla island and Boca Grande there was a huge celebrity flock! Two CEO's of big companies were getting married, Sara Blakely and Jesse Itzler. We were able to see all the preliminary activities and the $250 thousand tent, yes, tent that took 2 weeks to build. We were told on the island the wedding cost was $5 million! Although we were only able to catch glimpses of some stars, it was fun driving around wondering who we would see next!

Waiting patiently...Sailor was great on the plane. She slept the entire trip both ways!

Nothing like napping on the beach!

We usually only find great shark's teeth on Casperson Beach but this year we found 2 beautiful star fish!

Just a little windy...We loved to watch Pam and her umbrella difficulties!

The Gaspirilla Inn, sight of the crazy expensive wedding.

Sailor found, and demolished, someone's sand castle on Siesta Key beach!

Enjoying my daily nap on the beach!

Just watching the waves!

Playing with friends!

Sailor even got a surprise visit from her Granny Wanda who drove up from Fort Myers to play on the Beach for a few hours

Dancing on the Beach while listening to a guitar player!

I love the birds, they are everywhere!

We had a wonderful trip, thank you Nana, Pop and Pam for inviting us. Thank you Granny Fran and Granddaddy for all of the wonderful memories we have made going to your house. I am so glad Sailor got to go and experience this great little piece of paradise!

What a pretty sunset!

Sailor and I met Joe at the lake for little boat ride this evening. Of course, Sailor went fast asleep as usual while riding. Joe fished for a little while and Sailor slept all the way back. She did wake up while getting off the boat in time to see the beautiful sunset. She just kept pointing at the pretty sky so I had to get a picture!

Happy Birthday Blayke!

Sailor and I went to the most organized birthday party ever. My Best friend from high school's little girl celebrated her birthday this afternoon. There were every bit of 40 middle school kids in their front yard. Crazy, Crazy, Crazy. They first played balloon stomp where you tie a balloon around your ankle and try to stomp everyone else's balloon while salvaging yours. Next it was the 3 legged race followed by a game I am not sure the name of...groups of 3 tie a string with a carrot hanging on it around one team members waist. Then they are blind folded and guided by the other 2 members while trying to dip their carrot into a small bucket on the ground. Next a water balloon toss where Peyton and his partner were runner up and finally a pinata smash. I am sure I have forgotten some of the great games but anyway you get the picture. Needless to say Sailor and I were spectators for most of the events but she did get to try out the trampoline!

Sailor with the birthday girl!

Finally a win!!

Sailor got to experience her 1st UT game on Saturday night. Joe and I thought it might be a good game to try her at and Thomas was nice enough to give me my ticket back since he was going to be out of town. Sailor did great. She loved the band. She even got a shaker from a lady who always sits in front of us! I told her my sister would be highly upset with the shaker buisness since she is determined for Sailor not to be a cheerleader. We even got to do the touchdown cheer Sailor's friend Addison taught her! Sailor was very into the game through most of the 3rd quarter until bedtime came and she was fast asleep. We had a great time! She was a little more excited than the picture shows!

Catching up!

I have some catching up to do. I have gotten out of the habit of blogging partly because it is difficult with Sailor being that she loves electronics. She can't stand it if someone is on the computer without her right there with them. She has gotten so mobile and is just walking around everywhere. Here are a few cute random pictures.

The other day Sailor was being very quite back in the dormer window where her toys stay. I walked around and caught her! She had unloaded her book basket and was sitting in it instead. You can tell by the grin she was so proud of herself!

I can't remember if this was just a bad hair day or if daddy had styled it that morning!
