Christmas with GrannyFran and Granddaddy!

Christmas Eve afternoon we visited with Granny Fran and Granddaddy! We had a great lunch and as always a great time with the family. Colton got to play Santa this year and hand out all the presents! Brighton loves to pat a cake with Granny Fran and Sailor said her favorite present of all was the stuffed animal Granny Fran picked out for her.

Christmas with the Barker's

The Sunday before Christmas we traveled to South Pittsburg to visit my Uncle Joey and his family. We had an added bonus that our Aunt Patsy was there to visit too! We had a great time as always catching up and hearing some of those "same old stories" of mom and Joey's childhood as well...just kidding, those stories never get old!!!

Christmas party at the Daugherty's!

The Saturday before Christmas was our annual Christmas party at the Daugherty's house. The night was complete with a, not so good Tennessee game, Christmas games, wild kids running everywhere and of course the Dirty Santa gift swap! I have to brag just a little!!! I got lucky #1 for the second year in a row for the gift swap. This means I got to watch everyone open all the gifts pick and choose from each other but then I got to pick the best gift at the end!

Christmas with the Boles

We started our Christmas festivities this year with our good friend's Buddy, Lisa and Audrey Boles! They came over for some chili the week before Christmas. Sailor and Audrey had fun chasing balls all over the place and Brighton of course was just hanging out watching all the fun!

Fall pictures!

This post is a little out of order but we saved the pictures for a surprise for Christmas gifts. We took advantage of a couple of warm Mondays back in the fall to play outside and take some funny pictures. I thought some of them turned out pretty good so we didn't show them to the Grandparents before Christmas. They had pretty much seen all the other pictures we have had made so we used some of these for our calendar present!

Exciting December events!

Our first "BIG" snow of the season!
I know all small kids in snow suits remind us of Ralphie from the Christmas story but bless her heart. She could only stand and watch all the kids running and throwing snowballs. Even if she could bend over to reach the snow, her big gloves would not allow her to form any kind of ball. I really don't think the snow suit was necessary but I was afraid it may not snow again this year for her to wear it.

By the time Colton helped her make a snow angel, the snow had all melted. Oh, well it was the thought that counted!

Peyton's piano recital
Peyton played two Christmas songs at his December recital in Knoxville. I have to say I was very impressed! He has only been taking lessons for two months and he did amazing. All the other kids had their sheet music to look at and Peyton just walked up without anything and played without missing a key.
Sailor's first "real" haircut
Mommy has trimmed here and there but we finally broke down and went for a much needed "real" haircut. It was becoming out of control and is still a little even after visiting Kendra. It would help if Sailor would wear a bow every now and then but it is a chase then a fight to get it in just for her to pull it out.

Sailor's big girl bed!

No this was not a Christmas present I am just a little behind on posting as usual! Sailor officially has her own big girl bed and really does love it. She has finally began sleeping in her own room...now if we can just get Brighton on board!
