Exciting December events!

Our first "BIG" snow of the season!
I know all small kids in snow suits remind us of Ralphie from the Christmas story but bless her heart. She could only stand and watch all the kids running and throwing snowballs. Even if she could bend over to reach the snow, her big gloves would not allow her to form any kind of ball. I really don't think the snow suit was necessary but I was afraid it may not snow again this year for her to wear it.

By the time Colton helped her make a snow angel, the snow had all melted. Oh, well it was the thought that counted!

Peyton's piano recital
Peyton played two Christmas songs at his December recital in Knoxville. I have to say I was very impressed! He has only been taking lessons for two months and he did amazing. All the other kids had their sheet music to look at and Peyton just walked up without anything and played without missing a key.
Sailor's first "real" haircut
Mommy has trimmed here and there but we finally broke down and went for a much needed "real" haircut. It was becoming out of control and is still a little even after visiting Kendra. It would help if Sailor would wear a bow every now and then but it is a chase then a fight to get it in just for her to pull it out.

Sailor's big girl bed!

No this was not a Christmas present I am just a little behind on posting as usual! Sailor officially has her own big girl bed and really does love it. She has finally began sleeping in her own room...now if we can just get Brighton on board!

Brighton is 4 months!

Earlier this month Brighton had his 4 month check up. I haven't been able to tell if his personality is much different than Sailor's but his growing methods sure are!!!

4 month stats:
Weight 18lb 2.5oz...94%
Length 26.5in.....91%
head circumference...43.5cm...80%

He has two teeth, he is rolling over and he has found his feet too.

Visit with Santa!

Last week Sailor finally decided she wanted to go see Santa. All was good until the little girl right in front of us pitched a royal fit. I tried distracting but Sailor was focused on her. When it was our turn I could feel Sailor's legs tighten around my waist as we got close. We sat Brighton down and he was just hanging out then Sailor began to refuse. Santa offered a candy cane which she loves. She almost stood beside and held Brighton's hand which would have been fine, however, when mommy went to get out of the picture so did Sailor. Finally with a threat of giving the candy cane back she decided to sit on the arm of the chair with a very concerned look on her face. Brighton was happy the whole time and Sailor did tell Santa with a very serious face..."I want a baby doll".

Brighton update!

This post is long over do! Brighton will be 4 months old tomorrow. He rolled over for the first time on November 14th! He is smiling soooo much. He cannot keep a straight face without smiling. He had his fist bowl of cereal last night and loved it! I haven't weighed him lately but I think he is about to catch Sailor! I really hope to do better at posting....in my spare time!!

Happy Halloween 2009!

Halloween was extra fun this year. Sailor had such a good time seeing some of her friends and family at trunk or treat. We started the night with, of course, a photo shoot as always. Nana and Pop came over and brought Halloween cards with some money inside!! A quick stop by Papaws for candy and a neat stick horse! Then off to trunk or treat at the church. Sailor got to see lots of people and got lots of good stuff! Then on to Granny's house for more goodies like books, presents from her trip to Alaska and more candy! Finally home for the game...Go Vols! Needless to say we were all worn out and ready for the couch!

"Peace"
