Brighton is 4 months!

Earlier this month Brighton had his 4 month check up. I haven't been able to tell if his personality is much different than Sailor's but his growing methods sure are!!!

4 month stats:
Weight 18lb 2.5oz...94%
Length 26.5in.....91%
head circumference...43.5cm...80%

He has two teeth, he is rolling over and he has found his feet too.

Visit with Santa!

Last week Sailor finally decided she wanted to go see Santa. All was good until the little girl right in front of us pitched a royal fit. I tried distracting but Sailor was focused on her. When it was our turn I could feel Sailor's legs tighten around my waist as we got close. We sat Brighton down and he was just hanging out then Sailor began to refuse. Santa offered a candy cane which she loves. She almost stood beside and held Brighton's hand which would have been fine, however, when mommy went to get out of the picture so did Sailor. Finally with a threat of giving the candy cane back she decided to sit on the arm of the chair with a very concerned look on her face. Brighton was happy the whole time and Sailor did tell Santa with a very serious face..."I want a baby doll".

Brighton update!

This post is long over do! Brighton will be 4 months old tomorrow. He rolled over for the first time on November 14th! He is smiling soooo much. He cannot keep a straight face without smiling. He had his fist bowl of cereal last night and loved it! I haven't weighed him lately but I think he is about to catch Sailor! I really hope to do better at posting....in my spare time!!

Happy Halloween 2009!

Halloween was extra fun this year. Sailor had such a good time seeing some of her friends and family at trunk or treat. We started the night with, of course, a photo shoot as always. Nana and Pop came over and brought Halloween cards with some money inside!! A quick stop by Papaws for candy and a neat stick horse! Then off to trunk or treat at the church. Sailor got to see lots of people and got lots of good stuff! Then on to Granny's house for more goodies like books, presents from her trip to Alaska and more candy! Finally home for the game...Go Vols! Needless to say we were all worn out and ready for the couch!

"Peace"

"Trick or Treat, smell my foot, give me some food!" Sailor's version of "Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!"

Annual pumpkin carving night!

We always look forward to our pumpkin carving night to see what ideas everyone comes up with. Sailor and Brighton decided to go with traditional funny faces on their pumpkins this year. Colton did a scary face and Peyton yet again attempted to tackle a very challenging carving and half way through modified his design into a "power T"!

Boo at the Zoo!

We had a good time at Boo at the Zoo this year despite the crowd. The weather was great and so were the kids! We only got to see a few animals, no camel ride this year and the same belly dancers as last year. I think the zoo is a little like Chuck e Cheese, don't go on weekends or holidays unless you are prepared for a little pushing and shoving.

Brighton's face looks like what daddy was thinking..."why am I here?"

Sailor and her monkey friends, Eli and Cole!

Sailors new bike!

Sailor loves her new bike especially when Daddy takes her off road!! Our favorite riding spot has everything from pretty lake views, deer and even a special breed of Gypsy horses. We can't wait for those long days to return so we can get back on our bikes!

Panama City Beach Fall 2009!

Fall Break 2009! A couple of weeks ago we got to spend a whole week at the beach with record high temps for October! I was so impressed with the kids from the ride down and back, our days by the pool and trips down to the beach for a dip in the ocean. Sailor was so happy to get to spend all day swimming and Brighton befriended some "snow birders" who loaned him their shade umbrella each day! We had our first experience Geo Cashing with Colton. Teased Peyton all week about talking to girls and Heather, Bruce, Joe and I each got a date night. As usual the week flew by as all vacations do. We can't wait to go back, I am already dreaming of warm sunshine and sand and it is just November!

Just chillin by the pool! Yes we were the rednecks with the baby in the diaper by the pool but seriously it was so hot as little clothing as possible was best.
