Happy Birthday GrannyFran!

Happy Birthday GrannyFran. Here is a picture of the flowers we sent her on Friday. Her birthday was on Saturday. We would love to have been down in Florida to wish her a happy day in person. GrannyFran and Granddaddy just love Sailor and miss her when they are away.

GrannyFran and Sailor at Christmas! Sailor was a little tired that night.

Go VOLS!

Joe is very superstitous. This picture is of Sailor during the UT vs Florida football game. I think she was 3 weeks old. After a big loss he said she could not wear her UT stuff for anymore games. Well we proved daddy wrong last night. We watched the game at our friends Kelli and Donnie's house and yes, of course, Sailor was decked out in her UT attire. I did not break out the camera. We did not want to press our luck with daddy as he was already aggrivated about her outfit. I will describe. Cute little blue jeans, her Crayola, "only one crayon in my box" shirt and an inherited Power T bucket hat from Peyton or Colton...we don't remember. Anyway, to say the least, she did look cute and she was very good even through all of the screaming and cheering!

Go VOLS...UT 66 Memphis 62 = UT #1

Lacy, Kiley, Tara, Sailor and Me

Tara, Connor, Kiley and Lacy

I think Connor is trying to fix Sailor's hair for the pictures!

Sailor was sacked out by the time Casey finished opening presents.

O.K. Kelli, I know you are tired of hearing us. But Sailor is really hoping for a girl!

Maranda, Brody, Sailor and Me

Cole is like, "What did I do"?

Sailor and Kellye

I think Sailor had had enough by this time. "Mom put that camera away and just get me home!"

Sailor and I had a very busy and exciting Saturday morning. We attended Casey and Amanda's baby showers for Drew and Eli. Sailor got to meet so many new friends. Casey's Shower was at the Methodist Church here in Rockwood given by Darby and Lacy and Amanda's was at Sam and Nancy Owings' house in Kingston given by Kellye. You girls all did such a good job. We enjoyed ourselves and wore ourselves out at both. I am sure that most all of the same pictures will be on everyone elses blog. I am excited to see them. Casey and Amanda got so many nice things. I especially liked all of the personalized things. We did not get very much stuff with monograms until Sailor was born because I did not tell her name until my shower. You guys were smart. Cute, Cute stuff!

Sailor is 6 month's old!!!

Sailor turned 6 month's old on Friday, Feb. 22. She is changing and learning new things so fast. She can roll over consistently from back to front, only towards the left. She is working hard to go to the right but just can't get over that old arm. She rolled over from front to back for the first time Friday night. I was so excited. She just found her feet and does not seem to want to let go. This makes diaper changes extra challenging now. We are sitting up statically for about 1-2 minutes, however once she loses it, she crashes. She is doing more and more with her hands and her coordination has improved so much. She loves to bang everything on her highchair table. If she ever decides to let go you better watch out. Mealtime is so fun now. I love to see what she likes and what she doesn't. Surprisingly she has liked everything so far. Joe and I are not picky eaters so I am hoping she won't be either. Joe can't believe she likes green peas because he hates them. She still suffers a little from Reflux so she is on medication for that. It seems to be under control for now but we have to change the dose often because she is gaining weight and changing so quickly. She has had a cold for the past 3 weeks. We went to the doctor twice in one week. I vowed to not take her back unless I was absolutely desperate because trust me if you are not sick before you go and wait in the sick side waiting room...you will be when you leave. I could smell the germs in there. All the mothers looked at me like I was an idiot because I left Sailor in her seat with a blanket covering the whole top and facing the corner. We disinfected everything when we left there. Luckily with fingers crossed we are just about to kick the runny nose!

Life is so good!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I have been in trouble for not posting in so long. I feel like I have less and less time and I just can't seem to fit "blogging" in. I feel funny about "blogging" without pictures and I definitely have not taken many/enough pictures lately.

Happy Valentines day, just a little late!

We have started eating all kinds of new foods. Sailor is a good little eater. She has liked everything she has tried. The only thing she has to think about is carrots. I don't think she has decided about them yet. Anyway, I thought this picture would have been a lot cuter if her supper had not ended up on her Valentine outfit. Joe and I cooked Fondue for Valentine's day. It is my favorite. We had all kinds of fresh veggies and fruit and of course fresh bread with cheese fondue. It was great. Sailor had some fruit too, just not as fresh as ours. Her's was packaged with a gerber label. I think bananas are her favorite so far.

Joe and Sailor matched this morning for church so I had to make their picture.

Sailor had a long day of shopping with me and Nana. Thanks to Tara, Heather found Fleet Feet in Knoxville. She went on and on about how wonderful her new shoes feel. So, of course, Nana, Sailor and I headed out after church for Fleet Feet. I have to say...Thanks Tara and Heather, I love my new shoes. They were quite expensive but I truely think they will be worth it. I can't wait to try them out.

The cutest chair EVER!!

Tonight when we got home from the doctor we had a nice suprise. Our friend Tiffany Evans had brought over...the cutest chair EVER!! I just cannot get over how cute this thing is. It is just so perfect for Sailor's room. Of course we LOVE sailboats and it matches the colors in her room just perfectly. Tiffany brought Sailor her first ROSES ever the day we came home from the hospital. She is so sweet.

O.K. I liked looking at it, but I am not sure about sitting in it.

Well It might be o.k.

O.k. This is pretty comfy!!

Sailor is still smiling even after the second day at Dr. Fogle's. We just have a nasty cold. Anyway, Thank you so much Mrs. Tiffany. We love it as if you couldn't tell. You have to come back over so you can see it in my room.

Hope Sailor is RIGHT HANDED!!

I hope Sailor is right handed for a number of reasons...Mostly because she got her 1st softball glove and they only had right handed ones. You also can not play 2nd base if you are Left handed, not that she has to play 2nd base but it is very difficult to do this. Mom, Dad, Joe and I were discussing this topic and Mom and I decided the world is really designed for right handed people. Anyway, I don't have a huge problem with this because really the only thing I do left handed is write. Well I pitched in school a little left handed but this posed a problem because once the other team found out that I could not throw overhanded well Left handed all they did was bunt towards third and this was a bigger problem if the 3rd baseman did not get there. I am rambling but I have thought about this. I watch her play with things and try to figure out which she will be but I am not sure if you can tell at this stage. If anyone knows feel free to let me in on this. I have not researched it yet! Who knows she may not even be interested in softball but it won't be because she doesn't have a glove!

Sailor with her glove. This was her most special Christmas present from her daddy and me. I ordered it a little late and it was actually delivered on my birthday. She did not get to open it on Christmas but it came in a really cute box with a bow. Sailor is wearing her New York Yankees bib in the picture. Colton got this for her. She also has a onesie, blanket, shoes and hat to match. Tara, I thought Connor might like this. I wasn't sure if he has decided on the Yankees or the Braves?

Her glove is so cute. It is personalized with her name and birthdate. It is just like a real glove. It actually looks just like a small version of mine. We can't wait to watch her play with it. We sing the song "Put me in coach" all the time. I think it is one of her favorites!
