Happy Birthday Cole!

Cole Hinch is turning 1 this coming Thursday. Sailor, Joe and I took a boat ride up to Kingston this afternoon for the big birthday party. Cole's mom, Kellye, and I grew up living only two houses apart. It is so exciting to see our kids growing up and playing together now!

We had a great time at the party. Kellye and Keith did a great job along with the rest of Cole's family helping to make it a great day. Cole is a very lucky little boy, he has all kinds of friends and family that obviously love him very much. Thanks for letting us come and help celebrate Cole's big day!

My new car!

We have not made it to the park yet but we did take a spin at the track! I love my new car, thanks Granny Wanda!

Summer Fun at Nana and Pop's!

We have had so much fun all summer at Nana and Pop's new pool. I have not taken very many pictures but am planning to do better. I was looking for some to post and all could find were the kids in the kiddie pool!
A little blurry but shows the fun!

Sailor Reese Presley August 2008

It seems like only yesterday Joe and I were heading to the hospital to have little Sailor but at the same time it seems she has always been here with us. This has been an absolutely amazing year. I have never in my life experienced the feelings I have watching Sailor grow and change and learn new things. Each and every day is so precious to me and I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Last week we had Sailor's 12 months pictures made and they turned out amazing. I truly don't think they could be better. Thanks again Carrie!

Sailor's first birthday

Sailor's first birthday

Saturday evening sailor hosted her first birthday party. Despite the heat I have to say that it could not have been better. After all the heat goes along with a luau! She had a ball. I think everyone did! Thank you to everyone who helped and to everyone who came. Sailor, Joe and I are so grateful and feel so blessed to have been able to share this wonderful day with so many friends and family.

Happy Birthday Sailor!

Friday, August 22, 2008 Sailor's 1st birthday.

Joe and I both took the day off to play with Sailor. We began the day giving her, her two presents from us. She loved them both. A slide and her "Anywhere Chair". She crawled right over to her chair, climbed in and sat down. She didn't want to get up. She knew exactly what to do with her slide. We think she likes to climb up as much as slide down. She is definitely a little dare devil.

Pretty comfy! And just my size!

After playing for a while at home, we headed to the park for a picnic. Sailor loves to feed the ducks, we love the ducks but those geese are a little too aggressive!

Sailor loves to ride on daddy's shoulders!

After the park, Sailor got a visit from Granny who brought her a birthday doll that sings and gift certificate so we can go shopping! Friday evening Sailor, Joe and I along with Nana, Pop, Uncle Bruce, Aunt Heather, Peyton, Colton and GrannyFran and Granddaddy went for a boat ride and out to eat at Arrow Head Restaurant. We all had a great time as usual but this ride was extra special. Sailor even got to meet "Sailor the dog" on the way home.

This is the life, huh Peyt!

The crew waiting for food!

After the boat ride we all ended up at Nana and Pop's. Heather, Bruce and the kids and Nana and Pop decided to go ahead and give Sailor her presents on her actual birthday instead of waiting till her party.

Sailor with her boots and her boat. I think the boots were definitely a hit, Sailor had seen them and fell in love with them earlier at Carrie's shop and Aunt Heather went back for them. The boat is Vintage, but in mint condition. It has been discontinued from Little Tikes and Heather found one in Michigan on EBay and convinced the seller to ship it. Thanks Heather for going to all that trouble I think she already loves her's as much as Peyton did his! Heather, Bruce, Peyton and Colton also got her a My first baby Madam Alexander doll, A my first purse filled with goodies and even a cell phone, a book and a special pearl to go on her "Add a pearl necklace" that Heather has started for her.
Nana and Pop made Sailor a special playroom with a stroller and baby, baby style roadster, a bouncing zebra and a Neat and Tidy Cottage!

I think I needed the action mode on the camera!

Sailor taking a call on her new phone inside her Neat and Tidy Cottage!

We ended the night with a special treat that Peyton and Colton prepared for Sailor. A cake just for her but we all got a little sample!

I think it looks professional, Peyton and Colton may have a career on their hands!
How is it Colt?
I am not so sure about this!
Peyton has more in his hair than in his mouth!

Whew!!! A long post for a long day. Needless to say, Sailor had a great birthday and was worn out. Time to go rest up for another long day tomorrow...Party time!

Sailor is walking!!!

I don't normally like posting without any pictures but I wanted to get this down to remember the date. Sailor took her first steps last night! She has been standing alone for a while now for around 30 seconds at a time but has not ventured out on any steps yet. Last night Joe and I were just watching the Olympics when first Sailor completed a very graceful dismount off of the couch and stuck the landing. She then proceeded to take ~4-5 steps from the couch to the ottoman. Joe saw her first and had this crazy excited look on his face. I turned her around and she walked back to where she started from. She then came back again to the ottoman with a little inspiration from the telephone and remote control sitting on the ottoman. Joe and I cheered and she was soooo excited and proud of herself. You would have thought she had just won a gold medal at our house last night!

I still don't know how to post a video and I did not get any pictures. Rest assured there will be plenty soon!

Weekend Fun!

Saturday evening Joe, Sailor and I went to the park to feed the ducks. Sailor absolutely loved it. She was fascinated by the geese and ducks. She just could not get enough. I think she is just an animal lover. She wakes up in the morning saying dog. Anyway, we fed the ducks and played on the playground for a while but she would have just as soon skipped the playground a stayed by the lake. We spent Sunday at the pool and I forgot the camera, sorry no pics. We ended the day with a boat ride up the river, Sailor slept through most of it, she loves to ride.
