Sailor's first shiner, thanks POP!

It looked much worse in person. Sailor got her first shiner at the ball field. Pop had the best seat in the house right behind home plate at the scoreboard table in the shade. Sailor was standing in Pop's lap so she could cool off in the shade when she missed grabbing onto the table and smacked her eye. Needless to say she let out a pretty good cry and Pop was frantically motioning me over to the table. I am sure this is the first of many bumps and bruises. I think Pop felt worse about it than Sailor did :(

Another weekend at the ballfield!

Sailor and I got to spend another weekend at the ballfield! Cousin Colton is playing on the Roane County Yankee's traveling baseball team. They played this weekend for the first time in a tournament in Knoxville. They finished the tournament 1 and 2. Colton was able to try a new position. He told me he was going to play "home". I think 2-3 innings into the first game and 90 degrees later, he was not quite as excited about playing "home". I thought he played very well. Here are a few pictures from the game. Heather has made a website for the team, check it out! http://rcyankees.blogspot.com/

Cookout with the girls, and Lake!

Tonight I got to spend some time with old friends. Sailor got to meet Lake for the first time and they had a blast. Lake is working on his sharing skills and Sailor is working on her tantrum skills! They played great together, Lake said if Sailor could just catch they would be in business! It was great seeing everybody and catching up with lots of baby tips and even a little gossip!

No we don't cage our children, Sailor just wanted to show Lake Beamer's bed. She loves to play in his kennel and they actually closed the door themselves!

Happy Birthday Colton!

Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Happy 7th Birthday Colton. It is so hard for me to believe that he is this old. Peyton and Colton are such great kids and we are so blessed to have them in our lives. We celebrated Colton's birthday with a little hibachi grilling at Wasabi. We were stuffed as usual Colton even had to have a box for his cake!

Sailor and Beamer

Sailor and Beamer are becoming fast friends especially now that Sailor is eating things such as Cheerios and puffs. Somehow more end up on the floor than in her mouth but no worries Beamer is always their to help her clean up! Sailor has become Beamer's designated chew bone holder. They have started trading toys. It is so fun to sit and just watch them together.

Celebrating continues with a cookout!

Saturday Joe, Sailor and I went for a boat ride and short fishing trip up the Tennessee river and ended the day at a cookout at the Owings. Sailor loves to ride in the boat, however, she is not as happy when we stop to fish now that she can move around. Our boat has limited floor space for a 10 month old to crawl. On to the cook out. It was a fun night of bubble blowing, Cornhole throwing and hot dog eating. Although, I have to say I did not eat a hot dog but the grilled bologna hit the spot. Thanks Jay! We ended the night with a worn out little girl who stayed up till almost midnight cheering for the Ultimate fighting championship with Go Vols pom-poms. And yes Amanda there was a little River Dancing mixed in too!

Happy 4th of July!

I have some catching up to do. We had a great 4th. We spent the day at Nana and Pop's pool, but it just wouldn't be the 4th of July without the Lake! We took a nice boat ride from GrannyFran and Granddaddy's house over to Terrice View. The restaurant this year is called the River Rat. It seems to change hands every year as do all the restaurants on the lake. Aside from the undercooked baked potatoes everything was pretty good, especially the live music. Sailor just loved it. She even got to dance with Colton, check out the pics!

What a great captain!
