We had a wonderful Easter. It was great to see the enormous turn out at Church, nearly standing room only. It was a wonderful message. Joe and I just look at Sailor and wonder how anyone could not believe. It is sometimes hard to understand God's love and how much he loves each and every one of us and how wonderful and huge his sacrifice was. We took a few quick pictures so Sailor could remember her 1st Easter Dress. It was actually one of mine when I was little. Mom saved a closet full!

The Easter Bunny came to see Sailor!
Sailor got a surprise from the Easter Bunny before getting ready for church. Joe and I are just happy that we don't have to force the sports issue. It seems the Easter Bunny has got it covered with pink baseballs and a pink basketball in her basket along with a "Jesus loves me" bib, some bunny eggs and a beautiful flower.
Look mom and dad, I can already dribble!
Sailor met the Easter Bunny!
Joe, Sailor and I ventured off Saturday night to meet the Easter Bunny. Nothing like waiting till the last minute. We got to the mall at 7:45p.m. They closed at 8:00p.m. After waiting in line it was 8:05 and they ran out of photo paper with the kid right in front of us. They said sorry we can't sell anymore packages. I said well can I just sit her in his lap really quick and snap a few with my camera? They actually had to go ask their supervisor but eventually said o.k. I am sure the bunny was none to happy considering his shift ended about 10 minutes previously but at least you could not tell if he was smiling or not unlike our experience with Santa! Anyway I was just as happy because those package "deals" are expensive and I think my camera did just fine. I even got several poses.
O.K. mom enough already lets get outta here!

Hey Carrie...
We've been practicing!
Sailor and I took advantage of a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We sat out in the backyard and played in the sun. We stayed out about 2 hours. Sailor was just loving it. We did sit on a beach towel but her feet did touch the grass and no worries. She even reached for a blade or two of grass! I think we are on our way to recovery!!

A few of my favorites!
There is a story behind this one. We found out the hard way that Sailor hates grass. Who knew?? I just marched her out the front door and plopped her down to get ready for Carrie to take her pictures. Needless to say that did not last too long. This picture sums it up. Thanks Carrie for putting it in. We tried everything, I even let her try and cry it out. Good thing Nana was not there! Nothing worked but we were able to get so many good pictures, I don't see how. Carrie must have captured every single time she remotely smiled because it was not a good session. We plan to practice sitting, laying and standing in the grass for the next time. I told Sailor once it warms up we are going to roll around in the grass with nothing but a diaper on. "GET ME OUTTA HERE!"
"What you talkin' bout Willis?"
"CHEESE"
These are only a few. I plan to make a slide show of all of them. Keep checking back!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER!!
Happy 34th birthday Heather!
I just wanted to put together a slide show of me and Heather. We don't look at pictures of us too much now that we have kids of our own. Sometimes I think we take for granted what a great life we both had growing up and still do. I only pray that I am able to provide Sailor with a sibling and a life as great as mine has been. We have definitely had our ups and downs but I thank God for my wonderful sister. It is so great knowing that you always have someone that you can call and someone who will, no matter what, be there for you. I cannot imagine not having her and not growing up together just the way we did. I would not take anything for the memories of camping, fighting, vacationing, etc... I have learned so much from you throughout the years about life in general and especially about being a mom. Thank you for being a wonderful sister, aunt, mom and friend.Monday, March 3, 2008
Sailor's 6 month check up!
Sailor and I had the day off today. She had her 6 month check up just a little late. I am not sure what happened with the scheduling. Daddy met us at the doctor's office. Everything went really well. She is 71st percentile for height, 44th percentile for weight and right at 50th percentile for head circumference. Dr. Fogle is so proud of how Sailor is growing. He says she is eating right and growing at a good pace. She is drinking around 30 oz per day and eating 4 servings of solid foods including cereal, fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed her visit as usual with her happy self laughing and smiling at all the nurses until that one nurse acted like her friend and then stabbed her in her legs with 3 shots. I know, I exaggerate just a little and this sounds just a little more violent than it actually was. We are just a little dramatic when it comes to things like this. We have been anxious for a week now just thinking about getting shots. This part of well visits are never fun but I have to say Miss Sailor is a trooper. Although she turns fire engine red with the initial prick she was smiling within 10 minutes after and even gave that sneaky nurse that pretended to be her friend a grin! Since it was so beautiful outside we convinced daddy to take the rest of the day off and go home with us. Needless to say it did not take much convincing since I think he had already planned this. We had lunch at the Smokey Mountain Brewery where we ran into Nana, Aunt Vicki and Aunt Pam. They were having a girls day out shopping. Sailor took a long nap and then we headed to the park. It was a great day. Much needed after a busy weekend that was not too relaxing.
