Brighton is 6 months old!!!

Brighton is 6 months old today. It is so hard to believe he is getting so big, so fast! He loves the bath and has graduated to his Ducky tub, which I need an updated pic of! He is rolling over, sitting up, reaching for things all over the place. Just swimming on his tummy for now but loves it for short periods of time. He loves fruit, not sure about veggies yet and had juice for the first time today. Thanks to mommy forgetting to pack extra milk in the bag!!! Brighton has been in 12 months clothes for at least a month now! He is growing at a rapid rate compared to Sailor. He is not far from catching her on the scales! He still has just two teeth but is chewing and drooling like crazy. We run through bibs like they are going out of style! Brighton loves to watch his sister and hardly takes his eyes off of her when she is running around. You can just tell by watching him he is wanting to get up and play so bad. I am just thinking what it is going to be like when they are chasing each other in less than 6 more months!!!!

Blizzard 2010!!!

O.K. not blizzard but the biggest snow we have seen since the blizzard of 93! Our fun began Friday night when our friends Buddy and Lisa came over with an air mattress! O.K. that sound sounds a little bad but it was for sledding!! Yes we rednecked it up riding down the big hill on a mattress. Only one problem...hit the curb first run and popped. No problem, we just aired it up each time. There was plenty of time to air it up since we all needed to rest after walking back up the hill! I must say I walked up my hill more times Friday night than I ever care too again. It was all fun and games until the scraper truck came by around 1am :( We even made a snowman in the road with a sign "don't scrape me" but they did anyway. Saturday we stayed out all day sledding in our yard, Nana's and even went out to Granny Wanda and Aunt Heather's neighborhood for some action. Brighton even got to ride but I am not so sure he enjoyed it that much. Sailor really impressed us and went down the huge sledding hill by herself several times! I have to say I was even a little scared going by myself. We even went back to Aunt Heather's on Sunday for some yummy stew and more sledding with Peyton and Colton! I am so glad we finally saw real snow and can't wait for more!

Wilderness at the Smokies!

Every year after Christmas around my birthday our family makes a trip to the mountains. Sometimes to Gatlinburg but the last several years we have stayed in Pigeon Forge. It's great because you miss the Christmas crowd, the lights are still up and the Tanger Outlets have great sales! This year we went to Wilderness at the Smokies! We had a great time only Sailor was a little disappointed she was too short for most of the slides. We will definitely go back when she is taller. Poor Brighton was having a skin issue in a not so nice area, which could be another blog but I will spare him and just mention it so we will remember it later, so he did not even get to put his feet in the water :( Anyway we did have a good time, the rooms are very cool only a little crowded. I have never seen as many beds in one room in my life.
