My big girl bed!

Sailor is already one week old. I can hardly believe it. Today she got to lay in her crib for the first time, just for a few pictures. She has lots of toys in there to play with. My new duck is so soft, thanks Aunt Heather.

Just look at all the fish!

I love my sea horse, thanks Nana.

Beamer Meets Sailor!

Sailor's 1st Doctor visit was on Saturday. She had to be there at 8:00a.m. We were right on time, definitely not early. We will be getting up earlier next time because we were really rushed out the door not knowing how long it would take for the three of us to get ready. Her check up went great. It was just routine due to her being considered premature by 1 day.
Beamer loves to lick Sailor, she must really taste great!
He also likes to just lay beneath her cradle, we think he may be protecting her.

The 3 of us just fit on the love seat. I tried to get a full length picture but my arm wasn't long enough to hold the camera out.

Sailor's favorite cousin's!

Sailor is going to have lots of overprotective boys watching over her as she grows up. She is already being spoiled with hugs and kisses from her two special boys. Sailor and Colton

"Just a swingin"

Sailor slept through her 1st experience with her Boppy swing, but yesterday she swang long enough for me to straighten up the bedroom while Joe was mowing the yard. She just looked around and smiled at her little hanging bugs. I especially like the soothing non-annoying music. Thanks Vicki, Kendra and Renee!

Oh well, this is not a swinging picture, but it is cute and I don't know how to delete it now that I have put it here.

Bath Time!!!

Sailor had her 1st sponge bath on Saturday or Sunday, I'm still mixed up on my days, and another one today. She loves to have her hair washed!
The SPA treatment!

The greatest day of our lives!

It seems like I am always playing catch up on this blog site. I have a pretty good excuse this time. We have been very busy for the past few days. Our little bundle of joy arrived three and a half weeks early.
Sailor Reese Presley
Born: Wednesday, August 22, 2007

Weight: 6lb 12oz
Length: 19.5 inches
She is perfect, beautiful, wonderful.
I will fill everyone in with my little story. My week began Monday, August, 20, I was off work so I cleaned, mopped, organized, I actually began packing my bag for the hospital after much encouragement from my mom and sister. Tuesday, I woke up and had a few odd symptoms so I called the doctor. They told me to come in around lunch time instead of my scheduled 4:00p.m. appointment. He told me everything seemed fine, I was monitored for half an hour and he told me to go home rest and come back Thursday or Friday for a re-check. I ran to Target and Walmart to pick up a few last minute items for my hospital bag and then actually came straight home and rested. I continued to have the unusual symptoms throughout Tuesday afternoon and into the night. Joe woke me up from the couch around midnight to go to bed. I told him I wanted to stay there because I was comfortable. I woke up around 3:30, went to the bathroom and woke Joe up to go to bed. I then put Beamer up in his kennel for the rest of the night and went downstairs. Just as I sat down on the bed, my water broke. We called the doctor and they said to go straight to labor and delivery to confirm. We both took showers and just took our time. We really were not sure about what was going on. Joe asked, should we get the car seat? I said no I'm sure it is probably a false alarm and they will just send us home. Well needless to say...confirmed. We were admitted around 5:30a.m. and the day progressed from there. The time line from here gets a little foggy for me. I think I had an epidural maybe around noon and I began pushing at 2:30 p.m. Sailor arrived without any complications at 4:54 p.m. I have to say it was an absolute wonderful experience. The best thing in my life to this point! There was not a dry eye in the room. Joe was great. The doctor and nurses were great. Even my mom and Heather over in the corner were great. My three wishes about my labor and delivery...I wanted Joe to drive me to the hospital, My doctor to deliver and Sailor to be healthy. Mission accomplished, even if everything else was a little unprepared. We were able to get the car seat to the hospital after all, imagine that. We owe our wonderful experience and joy to God. We are so blessed. Thank you to everyone for all your prayers and thoughts. Especially our family, Mom, Dad, Heather, Bruce, Peyton, Colton and Wanda. Just like the song sang at our wedding..."I could not ask for more".

Oh what a wonderful day!!!!

My Friday began similar to other Friday's. Nothing out of the ordinary. I was in the middle of a group therapy session at work much like any other Friday morning when there was knock on our gym door. Our maintenance manager called for me to come to the parking lot. My thoughts were, this doesn't sound good, I bet someone backed into my car. I was just a little wrong. Someone flew into the parking lot, jumped the curb and smashed right into the front of my Pathfinder! Needless to say it makes for an amusing story taking into account that I am extremely particular about where I park and who I park next to. Nothing makes me madder than a parking lot ding in the side of the door. Well I bargained for a little more than that today.
The impact was enough to knock the entire car backwards a foot. Anyway, her car was not damaged, that goes to show the difference in 1980's models and 2000's models. She did have to fish her front license plate out of the grill of my car and it broke my $35.00 metal UT plate in half. On the bright side, She was not injured and I was not even in the car. Hope your day was better!

My baby shower, Hosted by Heather Robinette, Pam Penley, Vicki Gunter and Kendra Gunter. I had such a good turn out for my shower. So many people came and we got so many wonderful gifts. We are so blessed with friends and family that have supported me throughout my pregnancy.

Colton assumes since he is such a huge Yankee's fan that Sailor will be too. He gave her a complete infant pink Yankee set. Thanks, Colt!

This is a special gift with a funny story. Heather and I took a vacation to Myrtle Beach back in March, before I new girl or boy. I saw this lamp and loved it, however, I didn't know for sure the nursery decor so I didn't buy it. Later I decided on a Beach theme and these colors. Heather had friends that went on trips look for the lamp without success, the stores we had visited were sold out. Come to find out it has been discontinued from manufacture. We searched and searched the internet and finally she was able to get one through the manufacturer. Thank you for your dedication in searching, Sailor's nursery would not be complete without this special lamp!

Only camping for now!

Not even able to camp this year! The bed is not comfortable these days, much less a sleeping bag on the ground. These are pictures of me and Joe about to set up camp at our lake property. We have dreams of one day turning it into our home site. For now we can only enjoy from a tent. However, I haven't even been able to do that this year. Oh well, I'm sure we will have plenty of time to do these things in the future with our new addition to the family!
